More beading progress from last night:
I got the base of the “spikes” on either side done, the rest of them I’ll do by hand. More general beading, too. Monkeyed around with the top line parts a little, too.
FABRIC!
My spandex order came! My Captain Marvel fabric! I’m actually doing it!!!!! I was going to do it 2 years ago, had the costume breakdown in my head and bookmarked fabric but I didn’t get to it.
I got a shiny jumbo spandex for the blue. REAAAAAALLY like it. I got a matte red spandex for the red, and just a yard of shiny gold milliskin for the yellow parts. The milliskin is a little duller than I’d like, but I only got a yard so if I don’t use it and get something else, no big deal.
Also got some white knit for another costume for Dcon. That’s all I’ve gotten for it so far. Will have to pick up some skintone lining for it before I can start anything on that.
